Unlocking Digital Futures

Digital Pipeline [4] Youth is a training and paid job placement initiative, designed to launch young adults into meaningful careers in the digital sector.

This program was created to inspire and equip youth with essential digital arts skills, teaching them to blend creativity with technical proficiency. We work one-on-one with participants to empower them as the next generation of professional artists.

Hosted at Centre[4]Arts, this immersive program was designed for emerging creatives aged 15 to 30, especially those from radicalized, marginalized or Indigenous backgrounds, and those with disabilities or mental health challenges.

Over a period of 11 weeks, participants engage in 7 weeks of hands-on digital skills training, followed by a 4-week paid workplace placement with a local employer.

This program was built upon Centre[4]Arts’ previous initiative 360[4]Youth, which had helped past participants to build assets, obtain employment, and achieve sustainable independent livelihoods. It combined in-demand technical training with workshops, employability coaching, and mental health support, preparing the youth who participated to thrive in an ever-evolving digital landscape. Many elements from this program carry over to the DP[4]Y program today, but as an updated offering that reflects the state of technology in 2025.

The Digital Computer Lab classroom at Centre[3] filled with desks, computers, scattered papers, and creative posters. The space appears active and slightly cluttered, with various supplies and equipment visible throughout.
