Yvonne Felix

Yvonne Felix is a dynamic leader known for driving innovation in accessibility, inclusion, technology, and the arts. With a strategic vision, Yvonne has led teams toward greater impact and success, holding influential roles such as Head of Research Operations at CNIB, leveraging their lived and professional experience to create positive change in their community.

As Founder and Creative Director of ReSight, Yvonne has made significant contributions to inclusive arts education and programming. Beyond professional achievements, Yvonne also volunteers and mentors individuals, promoting accessibility and empowerment in every endeavour they pursue.

Colina Maxwell

A practicing visual artist, Colina Maxwell moved to Hamilton in 1999 and co-founded Centre[4]Arts, where she currently serves as Director of Social Practice Programming. Under her leadership, Centre[4]Arts fuels Hamilton's growing arts community.

Colina is known for her boundary-pushing contemporary art and commitment to education and community engagement. Her politically charged artwork explores themes of gender, social constructs, and labour. In 2011, she received the Arts Management Award from the City of Hamilton, and in 2013, the Women of Distinction Award for Art and Culture. She holds extensive formal training in visual arts and art history.

Matt McInnes

Matt McInnes is a visual artist based in Dundas, Ontario. His artistic process is informed by over 15 years as an arts educator, and his work focuses on social histories and topographies of urban change. He was a recipient of the 2020 City of Hamilton Arts Award for Visual Arts for his work on the Brightside Neighbourhood Project.

Matt has worked at Centre[4]Arts for many years in various capacities, including Community and Arts Education coordinator and instructor, studio technician, and Centre[4]Arts Tees coordinator.

Courtney Maxwell-Alves

Courtney Alves is an information professional with a background in arts administration, history, and archives and records management. After completing a Master of Information in 2016, she moved to Western Canada and worked for six years in the arts and culture industry for organizations such as the Town of Banff, artsPlace, and the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies.

Courtney recently moved back to Hamilton and, in a full-circle moment, is now working for Centre[4]Arts again after a 10-year hiatus. With a strong commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, she is known for her dedication to heritage arts and culture, her skills in fund development and information organization, and her love of the Oxford comma.

Barin Osho

Barin Osho was born in Lagos, Nigeria. She moved to Canada in 2017 to further her education and has been living in Hamilton, Ontario ever since. Barin is an artist who aims to combine her faith, life experiences, and personal reflections to represent her identity in her works. She currently attends McMaster University, pursuing a degree in studio art and philosophy.

Talia Amir

Driven by her unique blend of skills as a graphic designer and science expert, Talia Amir is dedicated to empowering Hamilton's youth by helping them navigate their career paths and uncover new opportunities. Her Bachelor's in Life Sciences & Psychology provides a crucial foundation, enabling her to understand the complex interplay of cognitive well-being and social determinants that influence career development.

She is focused on supporting young people in Hamilton facing employment barriers, guiding them as they advance in their professional journeys.
