Sitelines

Sitelines was a community arts initiative by Centre[3] for Artistic + Social Practice in Hamilton, Ontario, developed in collaboration with the Mental Health Rights Coalition.

This project offered free arts-based workshops and open studio sessions to adults with lived experiences of mental health and addiction challenges, providing a supportive environment for creative expression and skill development.

Over a three-year period, Sitelines engaged participants in various artistic disciplines including printmaking, photography, and digital media. These workshops were designed to be accessible to individuals at all skill levels, fostering a sense of community and empowerment through the arts.

By integrating art-making with mental health advocacy, Sitelines aimed to challenge societal stigmas and promote inclusivity. The program not only provided participants with creative outlets, but also contributed to their overall well-being and social connectedness.

Through initiatives like Sitelines, Centre[3] continues its commitment to using art as a tool for social change, creating spaces where individuals can explore their creativity, share their stories, and build supportive networks within our community.
