Centre[3] and VibraFusionLab (VFL) invited eight artists to participate in an immersive new residency program – Haptic Horizons Residencies – centred around the innovative realm of haptic technology. During their residency, artists accessed a well-equipped studio offering facilities for printmaking, digital art, film production, audio creation, maker space, textile art, and vibrotactile art. Moreover, our dedicated technicians from Centre[3] and VFL provided technical expertise and resources, enabling artists to fully explore their creative visions.
The goals and objectives of the Haptic Horizon Residencies are centred on fostering a more inclusive and accessible arts landscape in Canada. The program aims to facilitate meaningful interactions between Deaf and disabled artists and the broader public, nurturing allyship and mutual understanding.
