Artist Biography:
Alejandro Tamayo holds a PhD in Visual Art from York University, a Master of Visual Arts with distinction from the National University of Colombia, and a Bachelors of Engineering from EAFIT University in Colombia. He has shown his work in group and solo exhibitions Kiasma Museum in Helsinki, Finland; the Workers Arts & Heritage Centre in Hamilton, Ontario; the Museum of Architecture in Buenos Aires, Argentina; and MediaLab-Prado in Madrid, Spain. He has taught at York University, the National University of Colombia received grants from the Ontario Arts Council, York University Graduate Develoment Fund, and Fundación Telefónica.

Curator Biographies:
Sally Frater holds an Honours BA in Studio Art from the University of Guelph and an MA in Contemporary Art from The University of Manchester/Sotheby’s Institute of Art. Curatorially, she is interested in decolonization, space and place, Black and Caribbean diasporas, photography, art of the everyday, and issues of equity and representation in museological spaces. She is the curator of contemporary art at the Art Gallery of Guelph and is the co-director of Artistic Programs at Emerging Curators Institute.
Sahra Soudi is a multimedia artist, curator, and community organizer based in Hamilton whose art practice is rooted in social justice activism. They are inspired by collectivity and community.
