There is a long tradition of artists as organizers and participants in movements for social justice communicating demands and goals through visual works. Print and Resistance: Print Media and Social Movements is a survey of over a decade of thematic print portfolios produced by Justseeds Artists’ Cooperative in concert with a variety of social movements across North America. They bring together visual articulations addressing the prison industrial complex, resource extraction, migration, reproductive justice, anti-war organizing, systemic poverty, and the climate crisis. The installation of wallpaper and suspended prints create intersecting patterns honouring historical and contemporary struggles.
