An abstract, colourful painting of a partially nude person surrounded by lush, leafy plants in shades of green, blue, and orange, with fluid brushstrokes and a candle shape in the bottom left corner.

Painterly Monotype

Monotype is a painterly printing process where the artist hand paints their plate to produce unique and spontaneous one-off prints. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to basic methods and different applications they can use to approach making these experimental prints. This workshop is an easy introduction to printmaking for people interested in print (especially anybody with any experience in painting), but intimidated by the long technical steps often involved in traditional printing processes.
